Finance & People Executive - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at Love, Bonito

You will be responsible for managing all finance, administrative and HR-related matters with regards to the overall business in Malaysia. Reporting into the Country Manager and functional reporting into the Head of Corporate Finance, you will play a key role in shaping Love, Bonito throughout this exhilarating expansion phase.

Perform accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to ensure compliance with company’s policies, relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements.
Responsible for timely compilation, submission and accuracy of management reports
Prepare and review financial reports on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis to local and regional management. Alongside the country manager, provide explanations on actual vs. plan variances.
Ensure Annual Statutory Reports are in accordance with local accounting standards and group accounting policy.
Provide support and proactively contribute to SEA Finance team in all financial aspects.
Responsible for tax-related matters.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and corporate secretary.
Responsible for payroll matters of all retail and office employees.
In charge of petty cash management, cash flow management, payment processing to vendors, staff claims and general expenses.
Manage general HR/administration duties for office and stores, day-to-day operations, administer staff claims/benefits/medical claims, leave/attendance, commissions.
Manage HR/recruitment and onboarding process of retail and office employees, including part-time and contractual employees.
Liaise and follow up with relevant internal and external parties on matters related to daily operations, finance, admin/HR.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience preferably in a fashion / retail industry with strong hands on experience in daily job scope due to lean structure.
Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems e.g. Xero or QuickBooks.
Degree in Accounting and/or professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, in spoken/written English and proficient in Malay/Chinese.
Self motivated and able to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
